I had to look it up and found this interesting explanation:
“Light Beyond Hi Limitation” statue by Korean artist Ji Sul Won Kyung-Lee, is the most iconic symbol of Taejongdae. The statues blue ring symbolizes the ocean and sky, red the Earth, and the silver point the light casting out from the lighthouse.
