Of course, I have thousands of mountain photos. We like to hike up to a summit or to a viewpoint, where I love to photograph the mountain panorama.

For Donna’s Lens Artists Challenge I would like to show something special. A very long time ago, in the autumn of 1988, when we were still young, we travelled through the South-West of the USA and visited the famous National Parks. I was thrilled as I had never seen more spectacular rock formations! (Much later, I liked the landscapes in the Canadian Rockies almost as much and they won out because they had lovely turquoise lakes).
In those old times gone by, people photographed scenery with slide film and, oh dear, tortured friends and relatives with long boring slide shows afterwards. I had the slides digitised a few years ago. I didn’t like the quality, but at least the pictures were still visible, unlike the faded prints from color film. Recently, I’ve started to edit some files with Lightroom. I am showing some mountain photos here. While editing I made sure that the vintage look was largely retained in the pictures.
Photos: Canyon de Chelley, Zion N.P. (2 ), Anasazi Cliff Dwellings, Monument Valley (2), Yosemite N.P., Bryce Canyon, Arches N.P. and Grand Canyon.
How do you go about preserving your memories? Have you digitised your photos and how did that work?
