Two years ago, we spent a wonderful walking holiday in the Northern Blackforest/Germany. The weather was quite good but one day it was raining tremendously. We went out for lunch and relaxed in our holiday flat in the afternoon. Finally, I went out for a short stroll, wearing waterproof clothes, but everything was terribly wet and the trail had turned into a small stream. I took only a few photos for fear to ruin my camera and went back soon.
In fact, my camera didn’t work the next day, but it functioned again when the moisture had dried. A few weeks later, it finally gave up the ghost, perhaps due to the wetness on the walk.

This is another picture from a rainy walk for Becky’s wonderful Walking Squares Challenge .

Schlechtwetter-Bilder haben einfach etwas!

Thank you! The Southern Black Forest was my second home until my dad died. I love the area.
I have a water resistant phone but my cameras are not this way. But I am more cautious now.

I love the black forest, such a beautiful area of Germany. I lost my phone to taking too many photos out in the rain last year so I bought one of those waterproof cases now hehe. Thanks for taking us on your walk 🙂

We were generally lucky with the weather, fortunately. I have been to the Feldberg area very often. There the climate is harsher than in the Northern Black Forest where we stayed in 2020.

I visited the Black Forest region several times (Near Schwarzsee und Feldberg). It’s a beautiful region but rain is something you have to take in mind 🙂

I have to thank Robert for making me cautious, not sure I would have been without him reminding me

Thank you! Yeah, I was not cautious enough then, but I am now.

Gorgeous even in the wet condition, but yikes about your camera. The number of walks I have been on when my camera has ended up under my waterproofs!
